ALL OR NOTHING

Thursday Mar. 16, 2017

All, or nothing at all ~ sounds like the start of a song.

Are we all or nuthin’ in our work, in our relationships, in our hobbies. In work, play, giving/getting, community? Get the picture?

I think it is easy to rationalize that we all have big plates with too much heaped high upon.

I don’t that measure is key to happy life, fulfilling career or doing good in the world. Hard work might be the secret, or it might be ‘working smarter’.

Working with our heart AND our head gets us pointed in the right direction.

Helpful if we have support. Best delivered from the side or behind, a push, a shove – somebody pulling for us and holding us to higher standards than our default position. Yes sir, yes sirrree and Bob’s your uncle …

Reader feedback:

CERTAIN CERTAINTY

Hi Mark, This did not turn out to be a certain day.  Did you receive the message that FW has resigned from the charity she founded?   I write because I met you at her luncheon at the Palliser and believe that she created a positive atmosphere and sense of belonging for everyone who came together to shine light on a dark subject and to help people.  Tomorrow I am teaching a graduate seminar on justice.  What shall I say?   "Moses never saw the promised land.”?, With best wishes, JG, Calgary, AB

Just a note Mark, with kudu's to you for doing such a great job with your daily Musing column and, in particular, your FacilityCalgary report. And, as a dedicated reader, I can tell you your time and effort on these publications is very much appreciated. Regards, TL, Calgary, AB
