WHAT ADJUST MEANT
Tuesday, March 16, 2021 – daily column #6698
Theft, when we’ll least notice, between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Middle of the night thief takes an hour away.
By Tuesday, everything should be evened out, right?
Adjusting to this shift should be easy.
Each early morning starts a little darker, but more than that, I wake up and find myself doing the math. If I’m feeling a bit behind, at any time from 6AM to 6PM, I just subtract an hour and suddenly feel relieved that I’ve got more time than I thought I had …
Yesterday as it was approaching 5PM, I realized I was behind the proverbial eight-ball and feeling some self-pressure, but then I made an adjustment.
I reminded myself it was really only 4PM.
Suddenly, I had an extra hour to work with, and in six months, I’ll get another.
