MAKE MY DAY
Monday Mar. 18, 2019
Cleaning up a mess or leaving it is a daily exercise in self-discipline which ranges from dishes-in-sink to debris in any room or office. Tidy and orderly resonates with an organized mind while disarray aligns better with lack of focus and/or laziness or overworked.
Which are you?
Does that impact your performance and will it make a difference as you start this week, as you start this day?
Precision, accuracy – process of getting things right, that practice of getting fussed when they aren’t is a periodic preoccupation of mine. I’m not a ‘precise hospital corners’ guy – but making my bed first thing in the morning has become increasingly important to me and how I start my day.
That made bed vs. the unmade one.
The question of whether I want a lazy way to start my day?
Whereas making it sets the tone for doing things right, for doing them well throughout the day starting from the very first thing.
So, how are you starting your day?
The lazy way, of the ‘make my bed’ and set the tone for the day ahead, a tone of doing things thoroughly and finishing tasks before I move on the next one.
Go ahead, make my day!
