ALIGNMENT
Saturday, March 26, 2022

What we do should be aligned with what we want to do, right?

If we want to be accomplished at a sport or athletic activity, then our actions should be aligned – like diet, lifestyle, training routine, etc., right?

So if we want to excel in donut sales, we shouldn’t be working in a window factory, or if we want a career in physiotherapy, we shouldn’t be spending our time in veterinary school either – because that non-alignment will never help us toward our goal.

This is not to say our goals are always what they ought to be – and if that’s the case, re-examination is warranted.

Because what we say about our feelings should align with what we feel too, right?

This strikes me as a straightforward concept, but every day I see this non-alignment in people we work with, people we do business with, leaders not leading, corporations and governments distorting reality in public while planning in secret – simplicity, transparency, and clarity is the boast of nearly everyone in some way, but often disguising the truth.

We wouldn’t drive our cars very well or get good tire wear if our wheels weren’t in alignment – that’s why we get it checked so we don’t shimmy. In our lives these shifts to correct our alignment are all between our ears, one-part clarity of thought, one-part choices.
