SIMPLICITY SIMPLIFIED

Simplification.
Simple, really – the one word answer to everything in life – and the world of commerce and technology is ever-ready with a new service, APP or tool to get every element of professional and personal life into a more flawless impervious state. Just point, click and pay. Whatever we want, on demand – hail a cab, check your portfolio and order coffee before you get to the coffee shop in someone else’s driverless car. Book a room, find the mate (or just a perfect date) – go big or go home, buy low-sell high, work out, eat well (in smaller portions), sleep more and life’s troubles just evaporate …
So don’t turn on the news. Why?
Because most of the world isn’t there yet …
Is there any other way to wring value from life?
Ask yourself this question: will this thing/activity I’m doing right now get me closer to any of my high-priority goals?
If yes, g’head, make my day!
If not, STOP. Stop right now, right where you are and say, NO. Then move on to the next thing/activity which clearly and powerfully refocuses attention on those high-priority goals. Does it matter what the goal is?
No, it just needs to be YOUR GOAL, not someone else’s goal. Sure, we need to suck-it-up, please others and keep our leaders happy – as means to an end, as a means to fund our goals – but then, as quickly as we can, don’t we need to refocus on the goals?
So, simplify. Some days it seems just this easy, because it is.
Likely won’t be anytime soon – but here we are, another day older …
