A TIME AND A PLACE

Tuesday May 1, 2018

A time and a place – for everything …

Most important is that time and place when we wake up to some important learning – not usually in those classrooms, at kitchen tables of in workplaces where important lessons were taught – but in that time and place when we finally, and with great satisfaction, say, “oh, so that’s how that applies to me”, or “wow – I get it now”.

These realizations are not unique to any of us – we all have them at some point – only distinction is simply ‘when’ we learned them …

Could have been at 15 or 50, or 60.

Or 21.

So often these awakening moments are not so much, for me anyway, about what’s or where’s but the why’s …

Why does something matter? Why does something work better this way than that way? Why does this feel good, why does that feel bad and most important of all: why does this moment of learning and better understanding of myself feel better? I know it is important because it feels better right now, right in the moment of realization. What it was about doesn’t matter as much – and every time I get this feeling it is about something else, something completely different.

Smile.

Enjoy.

Appreciate.
