NEED A DEADLINE

Saturday May 12, 2018

Dreams are goals with deadlines.

I’ve read this quote so many times and have no idea of its origin, but I absolutely endorse its importance. If I write down a dream (or goal, or objective) and it doesn’t have a date attached it’s not specific enough to get me to focus consistently and relentlessly on reaching it.

Anyone can say, “I have a goal to ________” or “I have a dream to _______”, but when you question them whether it is written down somewhere that they can see every day with its deadline date attached, most often you will hear some version of “I don’t need to do that”.

Truth is, we DO NEED TO DO THAT.

Otherwise it’s not going to be and stay important in our non-conscious minds.

All those brains cells harnessed 24/7 on that ‘dream/goal’. It just makes sense. Whether it is pasted to the fridge door or part of your daily reading pile – pick a place you look at daily, writing it down in bold letters and attach a date to it.

Now, get committed, get set to get to your goal!
