SO MUCH AND SO LITTLE COMFORT FOR THE CONTROL FREAK
Sunday, May 17, 2020

Yes, indeed, we control so very little.

Yes, indeed, we control so very much.

But we DO control can be enormous; I control my attitude, how I react to things that are happening to me and my community of humans on earth, I control my actions.

Most of all, that control I have cannot be taken away by anyone.

It is one of my most prized possessions.

When I was young, I looked forward to many forms of creating my life intentionally; building a family, building a business, a future, and a fortune …

Like most people, our priorities shift, we succeed at some things and fail spectacularly at others.

Looking in my mirror, and my rear-view mirror too – I see the illumination of every nightmare, every joy, every curve, every height climbed, every crash-landing.

So, what’s important now?

Family, friends, survival, things I love to do, hope, small gestures, and a winning lottery ticket wouldn’t hurt.

Regrets?

What would the point of that be?

Yes, indeed, we control so very little.

Yes, indeed, we control so very much.

While I have many memories and experiences I would surely ‘do differently if I could go back,’ I am living the consequence of my actions.
