B CHANGE, C CHANGE
Monday May 2, 2016
I changed practices, yet I didn’t change much. Check!
Each day’s plans, schedules, tasks, organization, phones that rings, in-boxes fill. Capable of changing ways, most of us most of the time doing same old things, getting same old results. Check!
We (any group we are ‘part of’) aren’t changing, reflecting our stated desires – it’s May now, yet our New Year’s resolutions are long ago faded fantasies, ancient history … Check!
Do we schedule time for thinking? NO!
Do we allow time for failures, defeats? NO!
Do we schedule sleep, exercise, vitamins, healthy meals? NO! Meditation time, ‘figuring time’ – for solitude, giving, forgiving – for gratitude? NO!
When Ghandi said, ‘be the change you wish to see in the world’, he wasn’t just talking about our efforts moving nations to action.
He meant you.
He meant me too.

morning walk: 6C/42F, quiet, clear, dead-calm, another day of walking alone (collecting ‘freshly coiffed’ Gusta from the kennel this afternoon) – kind of morning for walking along a lake shore somewhere next to flat water …
