CHANGE HABIT

Monday May 23, 2016

How we use any day, is habit.

Victoria Day (commemorating Queen Victoria’s birthday), ‘unofficial commencement of summer’, prone more to rain than sunshine, weekend for cottage openings, camping mishaps. How we use holiday-days like this is habit. Growing up, traditions attached – long weekends in my family meant ‘project’ time. Yard. Office. Shop.

I rarely take long weekend trips. I use them for projects. Lately, too often, that has become ‘catching up on things’ rather than attacking a single-task. I’ll return to my old ways, maybe, soon …

I’ll get caught up …

But never do.

I’m changing …

Slowly, purposefully.

morning walk:  4C/39F, rainy-mode continues, drenched dog and owner. Gusta chased a rabbit but her heart wasn’t in it – she wanted to get back inside for breakfast. Me too. While many vacay … it’s work-day here, so I better get at it!
