AT LEAST ONE

Everything stored in any of us leaves when we do, unless we plant some seeds, help them grow.
When is the last time you’ve told your stories to someone else who might learn your way? Use it your way? Benefit your way?
And when will be the next time?
Plant some in someone who needs to reap a harvest someday; one day they’ll retell that story about it being ‘their way’ – that’s just fine, the important part is that the story is told, that someone benefits and then the story will be re-told many times over. Your name will likely never be attached to that lesson or its story, but that’s not why we help people.
If we found a bottle washed up on a beach with a message inside, we’d be surprised to have that experience – something we’ve read about, seen movies built around but likely never expect. Consider that every outstretched hand, someone you are meeting for the first time – or the hundredth time – is a message in a bottle, some magical profound instrument of change and improvement in your life. Are you going to take a moment to check that out?
How many times do we have to miss golden opportunities before we start changing how we deal with them?
Inside everyone lives a message, some learned truth – often truth others learned too.
But we’ve learned it our way. Used it our way. Benefited from it, our way.
Some people might struggle to point out one; most of us have several. If you don’t agree, let me know – I’ll bet we can find at least one, maybe two …
