Advice shows up in words we use with others – advice we give.
More often, in advice we ought to take from most unlikely unexpected places, someone we don’t know, someone who barely knows us – but their wisdom comes blazing through. Can’t ignore it.
Recently, a note from SN in Surrey, pure kindness genuinely sent. Warmly received. Isn’t the first time I’ve received that message or one like it, but first time I really let it sink in.
My point?
Every one of us can give or receive advice, good observations and constructive critique. It’s everywhere we look. Someone is offering to coach or counsel us. We reach out to a friend or they reach out to us, same dynamics – usually an open hand we just need to accept it, touch it, hold it, then shake it.
