TO SLEEP, PERCHANCE TO PUBLISH
Tuesday Nov. 13, 2018
Rest, and sleep in particular, have occupied more of my thoughts lately. I’m on a mission …
I’m improving in a way I’d hoped for but was skeptical about achieving. Not just ‘feeling good about getting better sleep’, but in actually feeling good, feeling better. I have. I do. This is obviously an on-going and incomplete story, but I feel remarkably good. I no longer dream of seven or eight hours – I’m getting that kind of sleep quite often. And it seems part of a better regime of what I’m eating and when I’m eating. When I’m exercising and when I’m eating.
Not just reading about their great effects almost everywhere I look, but in terms of trying to do something about it. I find I do well for a few days and then my streak falls apart. I don’t wish to return to my ‘late night animal’ tendencies. Most evenings I do well. Unless I’m out. Or up working on a project. Because I get wired or go on an eating jag (usually something with ingredients that tend to keep my energy up, which in turn keeps me up) …
And I’m working on a ‘fix’ for my Monday night/early Tuesday marathon – publishing FACILITYCalgary and managing all other elements of my life. Better organization and time management are part of it, my newer/better/faster technology helps, but sleep seems to be the best fuel I’ve used lately …
