ONE IS GOOD, TWO IS BETTER – SO TRY FOR THREE

Monday, November 16, 2020

We’ve done it.

Deliberately, and then told ourselves, we meant no harm.

Yeah, right.

As if we suddenly developed a case of stupid and didn’t know what we were doing.

We all know what it feels like to be kicked when we are down, to be talked down to when we are as flat as a lifeless balloon splayed on the floor.

We all know what it looks like when someone else is being put down, shot down, or walked on – and we wince a little and swear we’ll never do that to anyone. Invariably, we all do at some point.

We’ll defend ourselves by saying we didn’t do it on purpose, we didn’t go out of our way to say what we said, but of course we did.

This is a new week; let’s all start with a fresh approach to everyone we aren’t in harmony with – and ask what we can to help them with something …

When we offer a hand first, a word first, a thought first, a smile first – it’s almost always returned in some reciprocal fashion. And if not, maybe we’ve got an opportunity to be more helpful.

It’s a long week; give yourself time, but don’t let yourself quit working at the end of the week if you haven’t helped someone.

Or, you could help two.

Or three.

No need to get carried away now, no need to pull a muscle.

Help three.

That would make a good week, don’t you agree?
