Over the last two years, we’ve seen under-reaction, over-reaction too, on every facet of pandemic issues mishandling …
What now of this Omicron variant?
A year from now, will we remember it, or will it scarcely warrant a footnote?
Stock and commodity markets reacted, as you might expect, down and jittery - shivered for a day, oil prices plummeted, and it’s too soon to know if that was markets knee-jerking, an otherwise needed correction, or unjustified over-reaction.
The mystery of not knowing what is ahead of us, what’s around the next turn, where the road ahead might take us is a blessing of opportunity riddled with risk.
Global reaction to this new COVID-19 variant – airlines and governments, quick to react – suddenly Africa is off-limits.
Nobody protested, except Africa.
In the fullness of time, we’ll find out.
