EVERY REVOLUTION

Morning breaks ~ to reveal for most of us, in terms of appearances not that the world changed overnight, but to reveal so many things are just the same, things we count on. We count on the water tap and light switch to work, we count on our limbs and organs to work much the same way, as if they always well. We count on the furniture to have not move in the night so we don’t bump into it in the dark.
We get to be action figures – proactive or reactive – but we get to be active.
We may not be the ones changing the world while everyone sleeps.
Or we might be altering it irreversibly.
One morning recently I was wondering what I could do. One thing kept running through my mind, one project I’ve been putting off until I’m ready. If I keep doing that I’ll never be ready and it matters because it might change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but somebody’s world. I’m ‘moving it along’ but not nearly fast enough. I’m strategizing on finding the time …
But we can’t forget this world does change overnight.
It changes with every revolution, this earthy planet is open for business and changing 24/7. We are only awake for part of it, and forces of good and evil, of politics and economics were working while we slept. Not always on the magnitude of wars declared or peace treaties signed. Turn on the news, read a paper and another day’s horror stories and strife are spread out before you long before you get to the funny pages …
