MAYBE A CONNECTION

Sunday Nov. 6, 2016

I wrote recently about ‘Blue Zones’. Then there was a fresh news item about another earthquake in Italy – then something clicked in my brain. I looked at the map again – found things I like: northern hemisphere, moderate climate, no snow.  And something I started wondering about …

I searched a map of earth plates and fault lines. Guess what? Those five ‘Blue Zone’ places where people live longest are on or near fault lines and intersection of fault lines. I thought, somebody must have done some research on this subject to determine if there is a connection … but I found none.

So I’m wondering, if I plan some travel to those five places – will I find some magical reason people who live there live so much longer, or that ‘fear of earthquakes’ is the trick?
