THANKS GIVING AND RECEIVING

Self-care, an overworked virtue?
We should not give into ‘being needy’, but letting others give us care is no weakness indicator, but an action of receiving love as much as giving it is …
There are those who see neither side of this coin. Isolated, solitary, alone (even in a crowd) – and as I write this sentence I wonder how many words there are in the English language meaning alone, lonely and without connection?
Subtleties of this, poignant for me right now – in what I see in someone I know, and what I see in my own mirror. Not an issue, whether we can take care of ourselves. Or of anyone else. Not about need. Not about obligation. About wanting to. Needing to. Aching to.
Today in Canada – thanksgiving. Give some. Some thanks. Receive some too.
