OPEN MIND v. EMPTY MIND
Wednesday, September 15, 2021

I wonder if there is a difference between any two people and whether we can recognize the differences – and how they distinguished from one another.

For instance, if two people say they are open-minded, does that mean they are the same in any way, or simply that they both describe themselves with the same term?

It would be easier to tell if it was something visual and obvious, like two people wearing glasses or being tall or having big feet.

Open-mindedness means we are open to new ideas, in the same way that we might be available to meet new people too – we have to want thoughts to enter our consciousness, and when we have to want people to become entwined like spaghetti in our lives.

In short, we’re either open for business, or we aren’t.
