If there was a time and if there was a place to undo, to fix something, to ‘do-over’ something that hasn’t gone well in our lives we probably all would be happy to show up and do what might be necessary to fix it.
Or would we?
I think, mostly, we haven’t.
We didn’t. We aren’t. We probably won’t ever do it. Won’t even try.
Well, because it’s hopeless. We are helpless. It’s impossible to turn back the clock’s hands. Because we can’t control what someone else will do – or if they will participate in a solution, or even be willing to talk about it.
So we go back to our complacent place. Our self-pity place. We whine and complain. Or, we sit silently stewing in our own juices. We clench our teeth and our sphincters.
