BROKE, BROKEN, FIXED
Sunday Sept. 23, 2018
Do any of these statements apply to you?
~Morning has broken.
~Morning was broken.
~It might need to be broken.
~My morning was never broken.
~I fixed morning.
~Made my morning better, started earlier, re-invented how that early portion of my day unfolds.
If YES, tell me how, please tell me what worked.
If NO, why not?
Reinventing ourselves is not only an every-decade or mid-life crisis event.
We can reinvent ourselves daily. Any day. Nobody stops us. Try. Try. Try. Fail. Fail. Fail. Try again, try again, try again. Fail, fail, keep trying. Try something else. Try anything else. Try something ridiculous. Try something fun. Try something everyone thinks is foolish, not needed, doomed to failure.
From my experience, trying several changes at the same time is required from time to time, but for the biggest impact – change one thing. One ‘focus on it’ thing. One change. One thing new or one thing changed. Sometimes it helps if it is an uncomfortable thing. I don’t mean working out instead of not. Dieting instead of not. Sleeping instead of not. Yes, of course, all those, but it really can be much simpler:
~ smiling at everyone
~ starting every conversation with a genuine, “how are you – really, I want to know?”
~ signing our emails differently with something thoughtful
~ ending every conversation – reminding yourself, ‘last impression’ is a ‘lasting impression’.
Make every day matter …
