A LITTLE SHINING
Monday Apr. 13, 2015
Questing certainty I expect we’ll be completely disappointed, find we aren’t as deep as we hoped, so should our quest be for certainty or clarity?
We unlock doors to find shelter, safety, sense of home. We fear unlocking padlocked hearts or fenced-off personal spaces for fear of finding what lurks …
Locked, we aren’t understood, especially by ourselves.
Once opened our Pandora-box contains only limitations we set purposefully. Seeking creative juices, we find a pitcher-full. Looking for excuses not to create a brilliant life, our picture will be bleak …
Locked inside us (I believe this describes everyone), potential beyond our capacity to fully grasp now, but potential will reveal itself given fullness of time.
Daily incremental changes erodes habits, installs change, surely as flowing water etches canyon walls, relentlessly …
Unlocked allows shining.
So, shine.

morning walk: -5C/23F at 6:30AM (13C/55F forecast), light breeze, light cloud as sunrise, Gusta feeling very much at home/normal on our walk – pulling wherever she wanted me to go and I let her pull me – as we resume work/life balance routine of dog sleeping/man working, dog sleeping/man sleeping … it’s a dog’s life, but we both feel frisky this morning.
