UNDERSTANDING WHY MORE THAN WHAT
Thursday Apr. 14, 2016
‘What’ questions are easy.
If you don’t know – answers are likely a mouse-click or phone call away.
‘Why?’ questions, less clear or obvious – obscured, outright disguised, or we can’t see plainly right in front of us. Like distinguishing fear from courage – each, deeply embedded in the other.
I prefer ‘why?’ and ‘why not?’ questions.
Don’t ask me what, ask me why?
Every ‘why?’ is some kind of cliff-leap.

morning walk: 2C/36F, risk of rain again, skies that look like rain – again, but no rain. Gusta lagged while I hustled .. I slept late and have to get back to ‘tidy-up’ before the cleaning lady comes …

JUDGMENT DAY
Great news Mark — I too hope it is the end of it for you and Gusta. Regards, MK, Calgary, AB
Congrats on your big day in court Mark. Chalk this up as a win for the good guys!, PT, Calgary, AB
Good morning Mark: Congratulations to you and Gusta!!!! Lucky girl to have a dad who treats her to ice cream! I am sure you feel much better now, knowing she is with you! Still fighting the pneumonia. It is just brutal. But so it goes. Onwards. Have a great day!!!, CB, Calgary, AB
Congratulations on the positive outcome in court. I was so happy to see that common sense, and doing the right thing, prevailed, BA, Calgary, AB
Mark & Gusta, congratulations on your victory! Having 2 dogs of my own, I could not imagine the pain it would have caused you if you had to find a new home. Although animals appear to be oblivious to what is happening in our world, I know for a fact when it comes to relationships they know who their family is. Gusta and you would have felt the pain of separation. I am thrilled the world worked in your favour this time, MW, Calgary, AB
Mark, Fourth paragraph… do you not mean “optimistically”? Love your work. Thank you, RD, Spokane, Wash. … p.s.: Friend of Murray McCann… who put me onto your writing. Enjoy it very much… and keep them for further use!! Keep up the great work! Used to live in Calgary during the 70’s and oil heyday. Ex and daughter (and family) still live there. [thanks eagle-eye RD for catching that .. it's fixed on the website!]
Yay for Gusta, Mark, DB, Calgary, AB

Congratulations! Multi-national celebrations are happening! Glad to hear that “good guys” are finally winning a battle! It’s about time! And did Gusta share her butter brickle ice cream with you?? Regards, MM, Phoenix, AZ
Yippee! Yahoo! Three Cheers for you (and for Gusta). SO glad you won .. even though it cost in terms of $$ and angst, the outcome is fabulous, Mark, BR, Calgary, AB
