WOW, THAT’S BIG NEWS

In the area of hearing-impaired vis-à-vis listening impaired, which one are you?
I’m one of those who constantly need self-reminding: stop talking and listen more; part of that is a professional caution – to ask quickly and clearly, and then shut up so I can hear the answer. And the person usually breaks what sometimes becomes a long awkward silence.
But more than making noise and moving air around, we want to be heard, understood, and appreciated. Yes, that’s it; to be understood is a big-wow moment. A big, big, big-wow!
If we watch a film with the audio off, we can usually figure out what is happening – to know the hero from the villain, the rescue or the damsel in distress, the tumult, and turmoil – we overcome obstacles, and the folks live happily ever after.

Mark, Thank you for opening your door and welcoming me in. Yes I’m stealing your words but they fit what I want to say. Thanks for opening your door and mine! I’m looking forward to helping our journey unfold and seeing our understanding of each other grow, HW, Calgary, AB
