PERSPECTIVE IS EASY, OR NOT
Sunday, August 22, 2021
We overlook from the high ground – survey circumstances, comprehend, taking in everything our eyes survey.
But when hacking through jungles or wandering mountain valley floors, we only see up close – what’s in front of us, challenges of that moment, entirely without perspective.
We work just as hard, think just as hard, but we can’t see very far that way.
That high vantage point or the valley floor are each, of course, only metaphor. Because our work lives, our play lives if we have time to play, our young lives and our relining-years lives are like that. We either see beyond tomorrow or risk not seeing beyond our four walls.
I want to see the future, but the truth is, no matter how old or wise we become, we only see life one day at a time.

Today’s column … And it’s probably more effective than therapy anyway. Both for you and your readers. Best wishes, CN, Calgary
Mark, I find the procedure somewhat interesting, but usually find the finished product much more interesting, especially if it is something I’ve mused about myself. Continued success. LH, Lethbridge, AB
I think creating for creating's sake is just as valid. I love to have beautiful thoughts, and sometimes I have no desire to share them with others - doesn't mean I want to stop having the thoughts. And if I create, I do it for the joy of doing it, not for always for others or because of what others may think/say - sometimes they don't get it anyway lol, CJ, Fort Saskatchewan, AB
