Relevance is everyone’s self-confidence challenge – at 13, 39, 59 or beyond – to matter, to be of value, to be happy working or playing every day.
What is the purpose?
What is the value?
What do we see, and how are we seen?
Clothed.
Only in words. Chilly. OK, wearing warm socks – otherwise bare, empty. Skinny coat rack with belly. Arms hold coats and empty hangars. Legs of wood and steel. Rigid, cannot bend.
Not my Bursitis, but fear in all forms.
Stand up, stand out – or fade to black …
Nobody notices a coat rack.
Just a coat rack.
Maybe they’ll notice the socks …
Starts with an idea. A handful of key strokes, the more I show the less I hide, the more I grow the less I slide backward – all the time naked, but afraid.
Invert me. Introvert me. Yes, I am an introvert. I am an alcoholic. I am a writer. I am a lover of women and a friend of men. I am a craftsman at my crafts – I work with words, I negotiate with people, I cobble things together without a hammer, without a vice, just an introvert faking it – isn’t that nice?
Not every day is euphoric, but I can work with that. Not every day shows me the way to the end of the rainbow, the fulfillment of dreams or the completion of any projects.
Every day shows me the way.
