LIFTING WAIT
Wednesday Feb. 11, 2015
Weight lifting.
Go to gyms, lift heavy-metal, pull machine handles/pieces, strain on muscles under a load.
Lifting weight is good for us.
Builds strength, contributes to weight loss, better health.
At workplaces, hopefully someone is doing heavy lifting.
Different meaning, similar words, body less engaged, mind more.
Determination, grit – work ingredients, like foot-pound measures of horsepower.
Businesses, organizations, professional practices wither and die without someone doing that heavy lifting …
Wait lifting, when weight of waiting is lifted.
Wait is over. Strain goes away.
Always.
Waiting for something to start, for something to be over.
Waiting for someone to be born. Waiting for someone to die.
Waiting for someone to write . . .
Waiting, not physical, not some barbell held or hoisted. Heavy just the same.
Waiting.
Wait is over.
Then, wait is weightless …

morning walk: -11C/12F, overcast, another wait-for-chinook day; snow so light it should be called snow-dust on the sidewalks, Gusta lunged after a car lot rabbit but I held on …

Mark, Do not remember how I got on to Musing mailings, but glad to be. It reminds me Chuck Butler -the daily Pfenning http://www.dailypfennig.com/ who, near the turn of the 21st century, helped propel Everbank to be huge online with his daily musings. In creating content for our brand I have found it to be enormous work and appreciate the effort you put in. Most writers are voracious readers, thought you may be the same. An amazon gift certificate will arrive just after this email- sometimes it gets caught in the filters. Contact if you don’t get, will resend. Thanks again, EB, Calgary, AB
