A LITTLE BIT MORE

Monday Feb. 16, 2015

Today is not work day or holiday, healthy day or sick day, week day or weekend day.

Idea day, or nothing.

Start.

Go.

Do.

Repeat.

Nothing in our way, nothing can stop our ideas – only we have the ability to do that.

Start anything.

Go anywhere.

Do anything.

Repeat successes.

Don’t spend time on failures, other than to dissect and learn from their carcasses.

Move on, move forward, move along … or get out of the way. Let everyone race past, steal your idea and take your momentum away.

Chasing loftiest goals, or simplest of truths, is not hard.

Road is hard, knocks are hard, obstacles are bloody hard, contrarians are idiots, whiners are just whiners and critics snipe without an original idea of their own.

Start, go, do, repeat – that is all we need do.

But, if we are to be doing all this doing, against what set of objectives or principles do we start, go, do and repeat ourselves?

Do we not get by giving?

I mean – shouldn’t our purpose be to give something? Starting something ought to have some notion, however vague, of how it might be a good something for someone.

Going, doing – for what? For some good, some value, to benefit some person or critter, some cause or idea, some reason or ideal, something …

Repeating means relentlessly being relentless – of not giving up on ourselves when others do, not giving way or giving away unless there is purposeful intent – and giving with all we’ve got to all those we’ve got an ounce of feeling for.

And for those we don’t, maybe giving a little bit more.

BLURRRED VISIIION

Hey Mark, How ya’ been doin’?  I have to admit that I haven’t been reading your column “everyday”, just happened to sit down long enough today and catch up on emails.  I noticed your photo at the bottom.  Looks  Great.  Just wanted to say “hey” and compliment you on your photo, VH, Helmville, MT

EVERY BODY EVERY DAY

Is the picture of the “new you”  .. too far away to be sure!, BR, Calgary, AB
