SO DO YOU
Saturday Feb. 11, 2017
Race, or pace yourself? I’ve done both, with mixed results either way. I say ‘go for it’, not ‘wait for it’.
Pace varies for everyone – not just about age (surely that’s obvious). I’m thinking about pace of emotions, adrenalin driving forces, moments making us faint of heart, weak in our knees – or showing superhuman strength when danger shows up.
Spectacular flops and miscalculations seem to be a part of everyone’s life at some point – we just need to suck it up. Still, I don’t think hesitancy or caution over being afraid of risk or reward is healthy. This v-day weekend, don’t hesitate – say or do what you want to say or do. Practice if front of a mirror if you must, then express how you feel to another human being. They deserve it. So do you.
P.S.: sadly, Hans Rosling died one of my favourite TED talk speakers (10 of them!)
