CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE
Tuesday, February 1, 2022

Change can be brutal truths, extraordinary awakenings, or reality crushing our myths simultaneously, triggering actions and reactions.

As our bodies react to changes in diet or medications, minds adjust too – to changed reality and deeper understanding.

Change isn’t only emotional or intellectual. It’s physical.

Change means furniture got rearranged or the files in the drawer or the street where you live, moving the deck chairs around in our physical or mental state.

Thinking about and making the change or having change imposed upon us by forces greater than our own – against our will or in cooperation.

Because those are the only two circumstances that matter – everything else goes unnoticed because it doesn’t matter or because we don’t care, or sometimes both. We get used to what we get used to – or so I used to think.

COLD LEFTOVERS
Yes. Indeed.  Each Monday is like an episode of TOP GEAR.  What challenge will we meet?  , JR, Calgary, AB

Good morning Mark. My Monday is one big to-do list. When I read your column, I remembered the first few years at work here. I absolutely loved them because I had no idea how the week would unfold and what wrinkles might appear. Now, though, my Mondays feel like the treadmill you mentioned, with leftovers aplenty from last Friday and the Friday before. It’s not as enjoyable to start the week that way. By the way, did you know you have 2 cards at the bottom of the page? I mean the one with your picture and the “click here” button, HM, Calgary, AB
