ASK, THEN ANSWER
Tuesday July 17, 2018
Are we who we think we are – who we want to be, or who others think we are?
Before you answer, pick someone else – ask whether they know who they are? Are they who they want to be, or ‘posing’ as the person others think they are or ought to be?
So much easier, is it not, to answer for others than to answer for ourselves?
Now, go back to the first question – look in the mirror – ask who you are?
Deeper questions – what you really want, what you want to accomplish, what problems you will solve and how your life should be remembered brings these questions into sharper relief.
Now, back to that first question.
Who are you?
Who do we want to be?
And, does it really matter what everyone else thinks of us?

SEEKING BALANCE
Good morning, Mark. I am not in the least surprised at the admonishment that came your way, "suggesting" that you not write about religion. To be closed mouth is one thing and may, in many cases be the appropriate response. No answer is also an answer. Perhaps those who cloak themselves in religion, might be at least open minded enough to consider that most of the major conflicts on our troubled globe stem from both religious and political dogma. Cheers, AV, Yarker, ON; … P.S.: Truth is relative to all truth....I, you, each person … shares truth as each sees it … within the boundaries of our own integrity. As for religion and politics …it is much better to have great spirit and imagination than it is to have skill and power.
