How does energy actualize?
Nutrition authorities profess ~ food and water, what we ingest, supplements and vitamins.
Don’t forget alcohol management, exercise, low glycemic index foods, smoking avoidance, caffeine utilization and stress management. Weirdly, none of those top recommendations on health websites mention sexual activity (something important there they’ve overlooked – so I may have to write to some editors).
Lightening our load is practical guidance too, as is getting sufficient sleep.
Weight loss coaches reinforce that part of this process is burning fat, depleting fuel we’ve dined upon and stored beforehand. Sports coaches will lecture on endorphins, runner’s high, and adrenalin.
Sales coaches and anyone else who deals with emotions and motivation remind us that our mindset, sense of purpose and value, and excitement about people and events – more so when things are going well are considerable contributors to getting us animated, burning energy, and getting things done.
And all this can happen before breakfast – without an ounce of food or beverage having passed between our lips, but you have to ask if this is energy generation, energy use, or energy management?
If we starve ourselves of food and water, we won’t thrive – or we’ll starve to death. But if we starve ourselves of these emotional elements, how can we flourish?
Living is not truly living without our self-mastery to thrive. Working or playing with purpose requires something we drive or something idiomatic that drives us. Otherwise, we approximate a car absent an engine, looking capable but not going anywhere …
p.s. one site recommended ‘eat more fish, especially halibut’ – advice I love. But, have you checked the price of halibut lately?

Thank you Mark. Brilliant and true. Let’s hope… pray… light candles… march… speak up…. Open our eyes and hearts… to reconcile the past and today so we can build that brilliant future where all of us are equal, LG, Calgary, AB
