BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS

What sort of day will it be?

A commonplace Tuesday of mundane or routine tasks, or an unforgettable day of innovation, creativity and joy?

You might answer, “Well, it depends on where you work?”

But we all know, regardless of where we are on this spectrum of workplaces/play places, it’s up to you – it’s up to each of us.

And every day, Tuesdays too, there are sad memories of days past and people who have passed – some will be people who just died, and for others, it is the memory of someone who passed away a long time ago, but for their friends and family it feels like it was just yesterday. The older I get, the more I send too many condolences and fewer happy birthday greetings. Each time the calendar reminds us of lives started (births), lives ended (deaths), and lives extended (birthdays), we are greeted by lives mixed-grill of joys and pains, losses and gains, celebrations and disappointments.

Now, back to today, sadness is not to be ignored – it is entirely authentic, as is gladness which deserves equal attention to celebration.

Sometimes it depends on what day it is, but most days, it depends on who you are.

Reader feedback:

I FELL OFF MY MOOD SWING
It’s frustrating to emerge from one crisis in to yet another, this one driven by logistical l and supply chain issues, work slowdowns and bottlenecks everywhere.  Add to that the incompetence of our federal government with their posturing on the world stage, a complete embarrassment to all of us who were once so proud to be Canadians.  Putin isn’t the only despot run amok.  We have one of our own in Ottawa right now, a dilettante who has no business running a hot dog stand never mind a country, DM, Okotoks, AB
EVERYBODY DOES IT
Yup! You’ve hit this one out of the park, Mark! 💜😊👩 🏼 👍👏 , SF, Lethbridge, AB
