NEW TO DO
… best to notice when it shows up
Tuesday June 10, 2014
Are you driven by something, or simply along for the ride?
Every day something new shows up.
Not just for you, but for all of us.
I question whether we fully explore these when they show up with consideration deserving of the magnitude of the opportunity, ever, because these gems resemble lumps of coal – dirty and obscuring any special-ness potential.
Great value in things not done yet, not created yet, not explored …
Cannot imagine where some little idea will lead, what some experimental project will develop into.
Today, I can say yes.
Wasn’t always the case. Finding clearer view. Shows up in transactional work, in business relationships – in personal ones too.
Shows up, when I apply sweat to my task, shoulder-to-the wheel. Oftentimes, someone else’s wheel (a client), someone else’s cause (volunteering) or someone else’s business (I don’t always keep my nose to myself).
When sleep eludes – it comes from working to hard, or thinking too much.
Sometimes both.
Last night, separated from morning by tiniest of margins, technology was off-line at midnight, at 2:00 and at 4:00 which allowed for intermittent sleep, until I woke again at 5:00 – found things online, loaded my material and shipped it off to all those who want it . . .
Driven? Maybe, or committed … or possibly needing to be committed!
Everyone has pet-project, their ventures, plans and pursuits.
Nothing makes anyone’s right or perfect, nothing makes them wrong either – they just are.
Things we care about, which matter to someone, even if there is only one someone called ourselves.
Worth it.
More every week.
Must go, something new wants me doing …

morning walk: 4C / 39F, clear with a few clouds in the distance, Gusta’s bowels have returned to normal output – a two-bag-her stroll; we walked as well in the night, between 2:00 and 3:00 .. it was so peaceful, so empty and simple under nearly a full moon. Oh what a beautiful morning …
Reader feedback / comments always welcome:
We must remember that people are emotional beings and the state of their emotions when they read or hear something directs their reaction to such. It is, after all, only their opinion. We all know what they say about opinions and the added note is that they all stink. We react to different people's opinions based on what we would like to expect from them and when they don't react according to our expectations we wallow in unmet expectations. If you truly feel good about what you wrote or said, then 'nuf said. GW, Bon Wier, Tx.
