OLD WAYS AND ALL WAYS

Imagine this: what if I’ve never measured up to some standard someone set – or my interpretation of that standard – and if I never have, does that mean I never will?
How many people do we know who move through life shackled by that self-view?
Whatever I’ve always done or always thought or always felt – these things have only one thing in common, the use of that word always. Everything I’ve ever done or dreamed is at the root of every great thing I’ve ever achieved. Will that belief not be essential for whatever good or great things I might ever do?
New, different, changed-up, charged-up – all seem more inspiring than always, don’t they? Unless it is something we want to count on – like loyalty, friendship and love. For those, keep using words like forever and always.
