Carla does a phenomenal job with them (my contribution as dad and grandad is DNA – I otherwise take little credit for this magic). Animals, ice cream, a jungle-gym play park – happiness for Isla, she’s four, loved seeing giraffes and gorillas – short attention span. Alex, at two, found twigs as collectibles, didn’t want to ride in that rented wagon much, but loved pulling it through the crowd, the cafeteria, over the bridge – mostly without help. morning walk: 7C/45F, fantastic weekend shaping up (if you trust weather forecasts), Gusta distracted by a passing rabbit, squabbling magpies, and a stick – a typical morning in many ways, but today more than ever I appreciate how much she is like a two year-old.
