LIFE IS NOT A PLAN

Monday Mar. 9, 2015

Mourning, is over.

History, is behind us.

Morning, is here, now – spring-like, happy, productive.

No better way to begin new than thinking new, no better way past our past than to look ahead.

Everything we’ve ever done, everyone we’ve ever known, behind us.

Experience, behind us. First drafts and second chances, behind us. Trial balloons and tried it, did it, those t-shirts – behind us. Every day now, better than yesterday. Not statement of fact, or dream or fantasy. Because. I decided.

Here it is, day after yesterday. One day after that. There will only be one today. Then on to tomorrow.

Whatever is most difficult has been done. Whatever is hardest to know, is done. Whatever is hardest to feel, has been felt.

Now.

Today.

There is no plan.

Life is what is happening to us.

Mark Kolke

P.S.: many thanks to those who took time yesterday to call or write – especially Carla who called and sent marvelous grandchildren pictures, you gave me an enormous lift.

column written/ published from Calgary, AB

morning walk:  6C/43F, overcast and breezy – and what a wonderful mild breeze! .. Gusta, oddly, didn’t want to scratch for tasty morsels – she wanted to run, so we ran. That felt so good …

Reader feedback:

EFFORTLESS WHOLENESS

The anniversary of the passing of a loved one can have many tender moments, JD, Calgary, AB
