Progress is a peculiar thing – sometimes it seems we take one step forward on something good at the same time we are taking steps backward on something else …
On days like that we can easily let ourselves feel we have little choice; feeling fouled by futility and being frustrated or to feel ‘empowered/enable by fresh room on our agenda’.
Feeling energized by whatever momentum attaches to that forward step is immeasurable. The casual observer sees little difference, if they notice at all. But from the inside of my skull the view is one or the other – bleakness or sunshine. But, like having blinds on a window, with a tug on the control string we can choose to see the sunshine or close that blind completely.
It is simply choice.
