MY SOLUTION APPEARED
Thursday May 12, 2016
When a problem appears, I seek a solution.
When a solution appears, what should I seek?
Often I’ve read, ‘you are far too smart to be the only thing standing your way’. I’ve felt that way each time potential solutions felt ‘not quite right’. Easily postponed, another day passes, another column into the archive …
Kernels. Inspiration. Many. Thirteen years worth, and add to that what LG wrote about PROCESS yesterday and what Gail Boenning wrote yesterday on Medium – their points, clicked, joined my brain-mix … my solution appeared.
I’ve had epiphany moments, many – short, exciting. Most – just flashes that cannot be contained in the pan, then gone. This one, feels like a keeper.
Problem: turning over thirteen years of Musing columns, somehow reduced/distilled, to book form. Maybe on paper. Probably e-book form first. How to do it is a long-festering conundrum.
Yesterday, when I had my latest EPIPHANY – about something that’s been festering in my brain/belly mix for fourteen years, I felt an adrenalin rush – I got that immediate urge, I had people to call, people to write to – instant energy rush. But, I had my day’s work set out. Appointed tasks, times, deadlines, but still I had to harness, capture and articulate that fire …
Energy surged. Can’t wait to start (actually, I started yesterday …), lighter on my feet, focused in thought.
Something visionary?
Maybe …
Clear. Yes, I’m clear.
Conglomerations/intersection of ideas, a problem, obstacles – and now, methinks, a solution.
Delicious, exhausting. I’m riding my high. Collision in my brain. Confluence, many little things – finally, fitting, together. Oh my. Can’t wait for the book to come out …

morning walk: 2C/36F, dead calm, delicious sound first thing this morning – the sound of rain on pavement, drizzling into drainpipes – ah, this air is so refreshing; Gusta is drenched and loving it, I’m drenched and a little chilly, but very happy

A HUNDRED FOCUSED WORDS
Thanks for the note of thanks. I think Johnson Kee deserves the cheese and credit though. This is his idea and I am just playing the game.:) Best wishes on the editing!, GB, Waukesha, WI
I WAS REMISS
BTW, love this statement! it seems like every Canadian is suddenly a citizen of Fort McMurray, the way fans cheer a beleaguered underdog fighting from behind in game seven, never giving up, never giving in. This IS being Canadian, LG, Calgary, AB
