SMALL BETS ON LONG SHOTS

I often write about abundance of opportunity floating (or flying) by every day – encourage ‘grabbing things’, seizing moments, seizing those opportunities. Mostly we identify that great idea – then ‘seize up’. Recently one such opportunity garnered more interest than most, I’ve got a small like-minded team considering pursuit. Way too soon for anything to be discussed, ‘chest thumping’ a wild far off fantasy …

However plausible or not, any BHAG, gets the heart muscle active. Suddenly, energy flowing from something more profound than recent adjustments to diet, more exciting than courting a dream-babe. Different sort of dance, breathing life into someone else’s defeated dream. Far-fetched long shot. Just ‘considering a long shot’ is like giving your dead battery a frosty morning boost. Spontaneous thoughts, actions, opportunities – don’t always arrive on the same day. Sometimes they do …
