Yes, head in it – but piece after piece, task by task, commitment to someone who doesn’t know us, or want to. Every deliberate thought, bringing purpose and effectiveness to bear gets lost. Routine took over. You too? Some days blur.
Awakening to any fresh approach ought to feel cold hard slap of wet towel to face, or snapped on my backside – snap myself back to attention but on those days I need it most there isn’t a gale-force wind of wet surprise hitting me square-on. There should be. Ought to shock, sting a little – sit up, take notice, discard comfortable platitudes we offer ourselves, or others about ourselves so they see us this way or that, for this reason or that one. Collision of ideas we crave, heat of argument, rhythm, where we sit or stand.

Mark, We were in the States last week and experienced Election Night, the aftermath – U.S Style!! The distinct impression I got was that the mushy middle decided that there was, in fact, one thing more dangerous that Donald Trump. That would be left wing elite intellectuals who feel they know what is best for everyone else and feel they have a patronizing and sanctimonious duty to provide direction to the unwashed masses. We even had that comment made to us from more broad minded Democrats, AB, Calgary, AB
