HARNESS OR SADDLE QUESTIONS

Wednesday Nov. 23, 2016

This isn’t about horses, it’s about harnesses.

Are you in the harness?

Lashed into your position, pulling hard with other members of the team, going where your owner/driver/controller/pilot wants to steer you, running hard/your best, or keeping pace with the slowest member of the team?

Are you harnessed, bridled at least, being led where someone else wants you to go – allowed to feast at the trough, drink from the tank – when they say you are done?

Or are you in the saddle – guiding the dreams you are riding to race, leap and fly … ?

If we harness the power of our own mind can we expect to reign it in? Or should we just strap into a saddle and hang on for an unimaginable ride?

Actually, it isn’t unimaginable, is it?

Because our mind – conscious perhaps, but more likely our non-conscious marvelous tool working 24/7, conspiring to achieve a better result, set better goals, live more purposefully. So powerful is this tool, we should just stimulate it and just let it go – increased productivity through more sleep.

The more sleep, the more and better it can work for us.

Working for us while we are sawing logs … you just gotta love it.

RISE, ANALYZE

How complex is barometric pressure - I live with trigeminal neuralgia and can predict changes in weather before it happens. But it doesn't stop me from jumping in the shallow end - I don't swim... Best thing to do is to ride the storm or tub-soak with a glass of wine listening to Leonard Cohen. Mark, we need to be reminded sometimes and that's what you do well!, FL, Embrun, ON
