EARLY MORN
Monday Oct. 29, 2018
Early morning walks, as fall deepens, are more like ‘night walks’ – sounds of a waking city, traffic humming and kitchens spilling their light into streets …
Still, feels wintry without snow (of which we’ve already had two too many previews…), but there is something magical about being awake and functioning in the dark. I don’t think this deepens thinking but more that tends to still the mind and minimize the visual distractions. Gusta doesn’t seem to mind walking in the dark because she always navigates by nose more than anything – something I could never do because I lack that sense. Maybe that is part of the companionship, that we each rely upon the other. I keep us on our path and she demonstrates through her actions whether a rabbit is near or whether deer scent lingers.

PUBLIC JOB JAR
What is incomprehensible to me Mark, are the “missed opportunities” that Canadians are accepting through our Federal energy policies. Can you imagine what reasonable politicians could do for our citizens if we could unlock the $100 million per day that we are losing? Then add to that the hundreds of millions we are spending to import foreign oil. Talk about missed opportunity, I think Job Jar Item #1 should read “Be sure to utilize and maximize the benefits of the talents and resources you’ve been given.”, GB, Calgary, AB
Thanks Mark. Much appreciated. You do continue to stay actively involved, day-by-day, without fail, and that is motivating and inspirational, Cheers, RT, Vancouver, BC
