FULL OF IT

Accountable for accountability.
Logical statement?
I think so.
Disclosure – if not me, then who?
If not now, when?
I often encounter people who aren’t, then I’m wondering if/how we might fit as friends, colleagues etc.
Self-accountability and full, true and plain disclosure - not the same thing – but surely they are closely related.
Integrity is personal and interpersonal, transforming and transformational.
Integrity is a norm, or it isn’t anything. Are we full of it, or just pretending?
Truth telling, microscopic truth telling, revealing not only answers to posed questions, but revealing answers to questions never asked – as if they were – because, if they knew, they would surely ask …
We struggle with our struggles.
More accountable I am, struggling with less.
Not sure openness is always matched reciprocally.
Always hopeful they are full of it too.

Hi Mark. I like reading you. Thank you for today's column. Yes the future is not in the past. Wisdom. So simple. Yet so challenging. I also appreciate your rendering of your morning walks. Inspiring me to write my own life in the present tense...Kindest regards, PG, Montreal, QB
EFFORTLESS WHOLENESS
Read your musings on your Dad and the girls birthdays......sweet memories...and we are so lucky when we have them in such abundance!, SC, Fredericton, NB
Hi Mark, Hard to believe a year has gone by since your dad's passing. I hope that the sorrow you felt is replaced with peace and contentment, knowing that you had a great relationship with your father and that you had the privilege to be there for him to the very end. Life is too short for resentment and regret. As I see my own parents age (dad is 83 and mom is 71), I try to see them as much as I'm able given my 6 day work week. I remind myself that we're all on borrowed time and we must live and love every day to the fullest. Don't be afraid to share love, when opportunity knocks on your door! I wish for you to have a brand new year full of hope and great expectations... May all your wishes come true for you! CR Victoria, BC
